The Anhui Center of China Integrated Circuit (IC) Insurance Pool was established in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on Feb 22.

The China Integrated Circuit Insurance Pool is an organization of 18 property insurance companies that co-write insurance programs for the IC industry.

The Anhui Center is the China Integrated Circuit Insurance Pool's first regional center approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. It aims to serve the high-quality development of the IC industry in Anhui province.

Song Daojun, director of the administrative committee of Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, said the zone will wok with the Anhui Center to pursue win-win cooperation between enterprises and financial institutions through developing innovative insurance products and making supportive insurance policies.

The IC industry is one of the zone's most important industries. There are 254 IC enterprises in the zone, accounting for nearly 80 percent of Hefei's total.
