Anhui's first quantum computing engineering research center was recently officially approved by the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

The research center is committed to promoting the engineering and industrialization of quantum computers in China.

It was founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Key Laboratory of Quantum Information at the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, the capital of Anhui, and the Hefei-based quantum computing startup Origin Quantum.

Origin Quantum, based in the Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, was the first business in China to commercialize quantum computing and is the only company in the country that can deliver a complete quantum computer for use.

Post-doctoral researchers and academicians can work at the company's workstations. It is partnering with the University of Science and Technology of China to develop top talent and conduct quantum computing-related scientific and technological research.
