In its special reports that reflect on the zone's accomplishments over the previous year, Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone claimed success in establishing a livable environment.

The zone's education sector has been improved in both the number of schools and teaching quality. In its bid to build prominent schools, the zone introduced an expert team to build a new primary school in 2021.

A more complete public health system is also taking shape in the zone. Statistics showed that the zone is now home to more than 90 medical institutions.

The zone has provided many subsidies to meet housing needs for talents, and the amount of the zone's housing subsidies accounted for about 30 percent of the city's total.

Last year, the zone increased its efforts to regulate the water environment, which resulted in improved water quality.

According to the zone's plan, it will promote the construction of infrastructure and the renovation of old residential areas throughout the remainder of this year.
