Linxi community, which is located in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, was established as the first international community in Anhui province on Jan 19.

An international community houses a certain number of foreigners and is inclusive of various cultures and lifestyles. The organizational mechanism, service system, and environmental facilities of international communities are built based on international standards.

Linxi community has a service station for foreigners, and property management staff members in the community are trained to provide bilingual services and learn cross-cultural communication skills. Public signs in the community are in both Chinese and English.

The community also helps connect expats with local professional organizations that can help them create their own business start-ups. It also hosts a variety of cultural activities to enrich their lives and expand their networks.

Hefei has seen an increasing inflow of expats in recent years. It has been listed among the top 10 most attractive Chinese cities by foreigners consecutively from 2019 to 2021. The city plans to build a minimum of 20 international communities by the end of 2025.
