Sino-German Innovation Center
The Sino-German Innovation Center in Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone, Hefei, Anhui province, is an international service platform that helps attract overseas businesses and helps Chinese companies go global.
With a focus on promoting cooperation and exchanges between Chinese and German enterprises, the center was established in 2019 with support from the zone's government to strengthen cooperation in technological research, implementing joint projects, personnel training and exchanges between the two countries.
Last year, a German delegation led by Thomas Triller, deputy consul general of Germany in Shanghai, visited the center. They said the center is a good choice for German enterprises looking to develop abroad, and that they will work with the center to promote international business cooperation with Anhui.
Over the past three years, the center has held and participated in many activities to promote the zone, Hefei and Anhui to the outside world, connect European tech firms with investment institutions and enterprises in the zone as well as help enterprises in the zone enter European market. By the end of November 2021, the center has helped attract and incubate more than 40 innovative science and technology companies.
Wu Fan, founder and director of the center and former student in Germany, said the center is working on cooperation projects with renowned German universities to deepen exchanges between enterprises in Anhui and Germany.
The center will also work to promote the zone to more overseas Chinese, help increase economic and cultural exchanges between Anhui, Germany and Europe, and provide quality services to foreign-invested companies it attracts to the zone.
