Hefei Cybersecurity Week opened on Oct 11 with a cybersecurity achievements exhibition in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei, capital of Anhui province.

The event will run until Oct 17, with cybersecurity activities like Campus Day, Telecommunications Day, and Personal Information Protection Day being held across the city.

During the launch ceremony, companies that stood out in the city's cybersecurity attack and defense drills were awarded.

Attendees, including government officials and company representatives, also visited the exhibition area of cybersecurity companies to learn about the sector.

China Security Valley in Hefei is now home to more than 150 cybersecurity companies, with an annual average growth rate of 20 percent in the total industrial output.

Hefei will be the host city of the 2022 China Cybersecurity Week, an annual event that promotes national awareness of cybersecurity and helps people protect themselves by understanding more about online security risks.
