The 1st Quantum Industry Conference will open at the Anhui Innovation Center in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, on Sept 18, local media outlets reported.

Themed "Quantum Technology and Industrial Revolution", the conference will discuss the development of the quantum industry, display advanced quantum products and promote cooperation in the application of quantum technology.

Renowned quantum scientists like Pan Jianwei and leading quantum companies such as QuantumCTek, Origin Quantum and CIQTEK will participate in the event.

Official statistics show that Hefei is now home to four companies that specialize in quantum technology and more than 20 quantum-related companies. Quantum-related patents from Hefei account for 12.1 percent of the country's total, the second highest in China behind Beijing.
