Chen Zijian, a postgraduate from the University of Science and Technology of China, is the chairman of Anhui CAS-HIAU Electrical Inc which is based in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, Hefei, capital of Anhui province.

CAS-HIAU is a national high-tech company that develops power systems. It is a member unit of the Institute of Technology Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Chen and his company have developed a number of technologies for the new-generation power system when they served major nuclear fusion projects such as the artificial sun and the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor.

The company is also seeking to use the internet of things and artificial intelligence technologies to optimize energy infrastructure efficiency and reduce waste, which is in line with the country's carbon dioxide emission peaks and carbon neutrality goals.

Products of the company are widely used in smart parks, charging stations and data centers across China.

With an investment of 300 million yuan ($46.44 million), CAS-HIAU's sci-tech innovation center is about to begin construction. The center is expected to bolster the company's innovative capabilities.
