Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in Hefei, capital of East China's Anhui province, was recently listed as one of the top 10 Chinese zones featuring high-quality development of the integrated circuits (IC) industry.

The list was released by a consultancy firm under the China Electronics Information Industry Development Research Institute of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China at the World Semiconductor Conference 2021 in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province.

The top 10 zones, which also include Beijing's Zhongguancun, stood out in main indicators like the scale, industrial output value, and competiveness of their IC industry.

The Hefei high-tech zone is home to more than 200 IC enterprises, accounting for about 80 percent of the city's total. In 2020, 11 IC design enterprises in the zone generated more than 100 million yuan ($15.63 million) in revenue.
