Digital Economy Specialized Incubator
The Digital Economy Specialized Incubator at Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone was set up to facilitate the development of the local digital economy industry.
It will cover about 10,000 square meters at the D9 Building, as well as the sixth and seventh floors of the D8 Building at the Innovation Industrial Park in the zone.
It will focus on cultivating new and start-up companies engaged in digital product manufacturing, digital product services, digital technology applications, and digital efficiency improvement.
The incubator has attracted projects, such as Northeastern University's biomedical signal and image analysis technology team, as well as Suzhou Fund Business Management System's Hefei R&D Center. It has also established cooperative relationships with several local research institutes.
In the next three years, the incubator plans to incubate more than 100 digital economy enterprises and strive to gain municipal-level, provincial-level, as well as national-level qualification successively.
Liu Dengyin, deputy director of the administrative committee of the Hefei high-tech zone, said that the incubator needs to encourage enterprises to increase their R&D investment, as well as promote the integration of digital technologies and the real economy.
The incubator will be operated by the Hefei Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Center.
