Hefei CAS Ion Medical and Technical Devices Co Ltd recently won one gold and three silver awards for its two patents at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and the Seoul International Invention Fair.

The two events in the field of intellectual property receive more than 1,000 entries every year. The International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is one of the world's longest-history and largest invention exhibitions.

The company's two proprietary technologies recognized at the events are the compact proton therapy system with superconducting cyclotron which causes fewer side effects and reduces cost for cancer patients, and the plasma dermatologic therapy system which can treat skin diseases by generating plasma to deactivate pathogenic microorganisms.

The company is located in the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone. It has a strong R&D team that uses superconducting technology to develop high-end medical equipment.
