Nuclear testing lab established in Hefei

The Joint Laboratory of Applied Technology for Nuclear Testing, built by the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and Hefei Gold Star Mechatronics Technical Development Co Ltd, was officially inaugurated in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on March 14.
In its initial stages, the laboratory will focus on achieving breakthroughs in the fields of high-precision, high-reliability, and high-intelligence detection technology for neutron activation and industrial online intelligent detection technology.
According to its development plan, the laboratory will establish an R&D system for neutron activation industrial detection equipment within two years and become an influential high-tech research center in the industry in three to five years.
