The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone will continue to take technological innovation as its priority and become a role model to follow, said Song Daojun, director of the administrative committee of the zone at the Hefei Technological Innovation Conference.

Song said that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), the zone will make good use of science and technology resources in the zone to foster more innovative technological achievements with global influence.

The zone has been ranked among the top 10 national high-tech zones for seven years in a row and is now home to more than 40,000 technological enterprises, according to Song.

The local government has been providing various financial and policy support for technological innovation and more efforts will be made to improve local business environment, said Song.
