Officials from the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone -- located in in Hefei, capital city of East China's Anhui province -- signed agreements on Jan 7 with the Hefei Branch of Huishang Bank and Anhui Credit Co Ltd to deepen their financial support for science and technology businesses that are resident there.

Under the agreements, Huishang Bank will increase special credit for the zone, set up a new branch in the free trade zone, expand financial business services and jointly develop financial products for the enterprises.

Anhui Credit Co Ltd, meanwhile, will work with the zone's government to build a financial big data laboratory.

Since 2010, Huishang Bank and the zone have been involved many times in supporting the financing of local medium and small sci-tech enterprises and the construction of major projects in the zone, according to both sides.

Zone officials said its recent new policies to facilitate the financing of local sci-tech enterprises will provide support for developing innovative financial products.
