Business environment improves in Hefei high-tech zone: Report
The business environment index of the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone was 89.4 points in 2020, an increase of 2.43 percent from 2019, according to a report unveiled at a press conference on Jan 4.
The report, compiled by the business school of Anhui University, evaluated the zone's business environment in terms of government services, factor cost, living facilities, opening up, innovation, entrepreneurship, rule of law, and civility.
The final score was calculated based on a survey of the overall satisfaction of different types of enterprises in the zone toward the aforementioned indicators. A score of 89.4 points sits somewhere between "satisfied" and "very satisfied".
Fang Xiangmin, deputy director of the zone's management committee, said the local government will continue to optimize the business environment and help enterprises overcome developmental difficulties.
The zone unveiled a plan in June 2020 to raise the quality of its business environment to the top level in the Yangtze River Delta region by 2022, according to Fang.
