A quantum computing innovation and entrepreneurship platform, the first platform of its kind in China, was jointly launched by Origin Quantum and Hefei Big Data on Dec 25.

The platform will promote innovative applications of quantum computing technology in multiple industries, provide users with R&D resources and related commercial services, and help advance the quantum computing industry by forming a talent pool and incubating start-ups.

According to the initial plan, by April 2021, the platform will begin offering quantum computing programming courses and complete training sessions on the application prospects of quantum computing in four to five different fields.

From May to December 2021, a quantum chemistry software will be developed, and one or two biomedical and new materials companies will participate in the application of the software through the platform.

The platform will also open a variety of free use rights for quantum virtual machines and is expected to offer access to real quantum computing resources in the future, as well as attract many quantum computing programming enthusiasts to join in the development of quantum computing.
