Hefei Kewell Power System Co Ltd, a high-tech enterprise that manufactures test power supplies and systems, started construction on its new R&D and production base in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone on Dec 15.

According to the company, the new project will focus on the R&D and production of fuel cells, high-precision low-power test power supplies, and power semiconductor testing equipment.

It will cover an area of more than 30,000 square meters, upgrade the company's products, and increase the company's market in the domestic and international test power industry.

Jiang Jiaping, general manager of Kewell Power, said that the company's listing on Shanghai's Nasdaq-like STAR market on Sept 10 was made possible through the joint efforts of the company and the zone, and with the zone's support, the new project will begin operating soon.
