Three people from units in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone received the highest national honor for workers during a gathering at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Nov 24.

The recipients included one model worker -- Liu Qingfeng, chairman of iFLYTEK, and two exemplary individuals -- Wu Jianqi, chief scientist of the 38th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, and Zhang Hong, vice director of the Hefei High-tech Zone Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University.

China honors such exemplary workers once every five years for their hard work, extraordinary achievements, and outstanding contributions to their respective fields.
