A total of 30 academics at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) made the 2020 list of Highly Cited Researchers released by Clarivate on Nov 18.

The list recognizes researchers around the world who have produced multiple highly cited papers. According to the list, USTC ranks second among universities in the Chinese mainland in terms of the number of such researchers, following Tsinghua University, which had 55 researchers make the list.

The achievement is an indication of USTC's exceptional research performance and strong influence in a number of academic fields.
