Construction started on the NYSE-listed company Tennant Company's Asia-Pacific regional production center in the Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone on Nov 12.

The production center has received more than 500 million yuan in investment and will be modeled on Tennant Company's first phase project in the zone. It will cover an area of about 20,000 square meters and feature advanced production equipment, high-efficiency production lines, and humanized management software.

It will help Tennant Company, Gaomei Co, and Rongen Co increase their production of cleaning equipment and improve Hefei's industrial production line, according to officials.

Chris Killingstad, CEO of Tennant Company, said that the company highly values its operations in China, especially its Hefei project. He noted that the production center will become the company's largest in the Asia-Pacific.

Tennant is a global leader in design, manufacturing, and marketing solutions for the cleaning industry. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
