A total of 29 sets of non-contact security and temperature detecting machines produced by Brainware Terahertz Information Technology Co have been put into use at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the venue for the third China International Import Expo (CIIE).
The machines can complete both security inspection and temperature detection as passengers walk through the check-in area.
Unlike traditional security inspection equipment, these machines can detect metals and non-metallic objects such as liquids, ceramics, colloids and powders. The scan results can be sent and saved in real time.
The machines will help improve work efficiency and avoid close contact between visitors and security staff.
It is the third time that Brainware Terahertz Information Technology Co Ltd has provided these machines for CIIE. The company is based in Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and specializes in the R&D, manufacturing, sale and service of terahertz series body detectors for security inspection.
The 2020 edition of CIIE is being held in Shanghai from Nov 5-10. The total planned exhibition area for enterprises is 360,000 square meters, 60,000 square meters larger than the previous edition.
The event is intended to instill confidence in the international business environment as COVID-19 clobbers the global economy.
