Kochem Electric Appliance was established in Hefei in 2014 and focuses on R&D for energy saving. It has grown into the largest professional producer of air source heat pumps in Anhui province.

An air source heat pump is an environmentally-friendly, high-efficiency, and energy-saving heating device. The company's household integrated machine for floor heating and air conditioning using this heat pump is the most popular air source product in Hefei due to its low energy costs and comfort.

Hang Wenbing, vice general manager and R&D director of Kochem, said the company now boasts the most advanced and comprehensive R&D and production equipment for air source products in Anhui and is looking to go public in the near future.

As more and more people in South China desire a heat source in their homes, Hang said he is optimistic about the company's market prospects in the Yangtze River Delta region, especially the Hefei market.

This year, Kochem was included in Anhui's incubation plan for the cultivation of high-end manufacturing brands, which will allow the company to enjoy more favorable policies in the province.

During the outbreak, Kochem developed an intelligent ultraviolet disinfection system suitable for elevators, which is now running in government and commercial buildings. The system has also entered the European market.

Kochem is based in the Nangang Science Park of the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone. Huang said the local government helped them overcome financing difficulties when they first opened there.
