A joint laboratory focusing on the innovative application of 5G industrial internet was unveiled on Aug 8 by five companies and institutes in Hefei.

The five parties include Hefei-based Brain-Inspired Technology, home appliance maker Meiling, Anhui Unicom, Csg Smart Science and Technology, and the College of Internet of Anhui University.

The laboratory will explore how to use 5G and artificial intelligence technologies to make manufacturing smarter through trial applications at Meiling factories.

Research at the laboratory is expected to facilitate the digital transformation of regional and domestic industries.
