Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone unveiled a two-year plan to improve its business environment to a first-tier level in the Yangtze River Delta region by 2022, officials announced at a press conference on Aug 15.

The zone is also aiming at playing a leading role in improving the business environment among national high-tech zones, said Fang Xiangmin, deputy director of the administrative committee of the zone, when talking about the goals of the plan.

During an interview, Fang introduced the zone's work plans. The zone will insist on its innovative measures that have been proved effective, improve government services to solve current problems in its business environment, and learn from other national high-tech zones' successful experiences in optimizing their business environment.

Measures stated in the plan fall into fields including government services, factor cost, living facilities, opening up, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as rule of law and humanity.

Highlights of the measures include streamlining the approval process to save time for enterprises, strengthening financial support for MSMEs, building a talent service system to international standards, and supporting the development of the new economy.

Ye Jiangfeng, head of the Department of Business Administration of Anhui University, said that the plan greatly stressed service and efficiency. Formulated in accordance with international first-lass standards, the plan is expected to help turn the zone into a world-class high-tech zone, Ye added.

Moving forward, the zone's government will issue a list of tasks to improve its business environment based on the plan to ensure its implementation.
