Projects being developed by two enterprises in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone were included on a list of 100 new-type information consumption demonstration projects, which was released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China on Aug 3.

The projects are the online personalized education platform based on AI and big data developed by iFlytek, and the Alpha air disinfection and sterilization purifier developed by Duwei.

Online education has become a must amid the COVID-19 pandemic and iFlytek's online education platform has served more than 150 million teachers and students across China.

Utilizing advanced purification technology, Duwei's purifier can help kill bacteria and viruses while causing no harm to people in the room.

According to the Hefei economy and information technology bureau, projects on the list are recognized for having bright market prospects and for creating innovative practices in the fields of 5G, AI and block chain technologies. The city will strive to promote those replicable practices in an effort to boost information consumption.
