The emergency management bureau of Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone worked tirelessly to carry out flood control and emergency rescue operations to ensure the safety of people and property.

The bureau made a preemptive survey of the emergency flood control supplies available at all relevant departments as well as the vulnerabilities of all industries.

The staff of the bureau promptly released weather forecasts and provided warnings in advance.

During the heavy rainfall, the bureau and the municipal flood control and drought relief headquarters established a 24-hour video conference connection so as to communicate and cooperate as efficiently as possible.

The staff conducted safety checks on roads in the zone and closed those experiencing flooding.

Along with the construction development bureau and urban management bureau, they also trained residential property administrative offices to use sandbags for flood control.

To avoid a secondary disaster after the heavy rain, the emergency management bureau also checked companies which collapsed in the rain and places vulnerable to geological disasters.
