The Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone unveiled a new plan to support young innovators and entrepreneurs in the zone on July 2, according to local officials.

They said the zone will continue to develop its support funds project, which has provided 918 loans worth 629 million yuan ($90 million) to young entrepreneurs since it was implemented in 2015.

The zone on July 2 also signed cooperation agreements with 11 institutions in such fields as technology research, incubations, investment and human resources -- to meet the needs of startup companies in technology, capital, recruitment and services.

Under the plan, the zone and the institutions will help create opportunities for the innovative projects of young entrepreneurs in an effort to improve the innovation and entrepreneurship environment there.
