A total of 16 new and renovated schools in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone are expected to begin operating before this autumn, according to the zone's major project management center.
After opening fall semester this year, the schools, including kindergartens, primary and middle schools, will help meet the needs of residents in the zone and improve the zone's educational resources.
To complete construction on schedule, planners have been working online amid the COVID-19 epidemic and construction workers are quickly returning to construction sites.
When construction on the Sino-Canada Concord School, an international school in the zone, became urgent due to the epidemic and its scheduled opening date was 20 day earlier than other schools, the management committee of the zone and project operators worked together to solve problems related to capital, supplies, and staff to make sure the school was able to open on time.
To ensure the quality and safety of the school buildings, all projects will be inspected by professionals and will be monitored by both the zone and school.
