The Quantum information industry, an emerging field with the potential to cause revolutionary advances in science and engineering, has found solid ground on which to develop in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone.
The zone is home to more than 20 quantum-related companies and national-level key quantum research institutes, which help form an industrial cluster and provide a talent pool of over 600 sci-tech personnel.
Quantum companies in the zone represented by QuantumCTek and Origin Quantum have been leading providers of technologies and products for major national projects including quantum communication networks and quantum computing platforms.
Within the zone, a national laboratory for quantum information science and technology is almost complete, which is expected to achieve major technological breakthroughs in the field.
The zone is at the forefront of the industry and is calling for more efforts to expand applications of the latest research results.
The zone government plans to increase subsidies for companies to attract innovators and entrepreneurs in the field of quantum information from around the world.
