Infervision, an AI company -- based in Beijing which focuses on developing products for use in the medical field -- recently received a letter of thanks from the National Health Commission of China for its technical support in the battle against the COVID-19 epidemic, according to a company spokesman.

The spokesman said his company formed a special group to develop AI products to help tackle the novel coronavirus epidemic in a timely manner at the beginning of the outbreak and took the initiative to connect with frontline hospitals to learn about their urgent needs.

According to Infervision, nearly one third of the 340 hospitals around the world it cooperated with are using its AI-assisted COVID-19 diagnostic system -- InferRead CT Pneumonia -- to help doctors with pneumonia screening and epidemic monitoring.

Infervision built its corporate headquarters in the Yangtze River Delta region in 2019, in the national AI industrial park China Speech Valley in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone.
