Hefei Origin Quantum Computing Technology was among China's top 65 chip manufacturers focusing on IC design in a list recently released by New York-based research group CB Insights.

Origin Quantum is China's first startup company engaged in the quantum computing industry and the only quantum chip manufacturer on the list. It opened in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in 2017.

According to CB Insights, the list is based on the DPTC evaluation system, which refers to depth, popularity, tendency and collaboration.

As a leader in quantum chips in China, Origin Quantum is expected to develop the first domestic prototype quantum computer with a 6-bit superconducting quantum chip by the end of 2020.
