Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Innovation Park
The Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Innovation Park was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology in November 2016 to further strengthen cooperation on technological research, transformation of scientific achievements, implementation of joint projects, personnel training and exchange and finance between governments, enterprises and research institutes of the two countries.
The park is expected to improve bilateral cooperation and promote integration of the Made in China 2025 initiative and the Industry 4.0 strategy proposed by the German government.
The Innovation Park has a planned area of 15 square kilometers, including a 10 sq km area in the North Area, which is located in the Nangang Science Park.
Based on China’s “mass entrepreneurship and innovation” initiative, the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Innovation Park follows the model of being guided by the government while consisting principally of enterprises; it implements market rules with structural optimization, and has overall resource planning. It is also demand-oriented and led by ecology.

The park will accelerate the gathering of projects, funding, technology and human resources through Sino-German cooperation. It will be built into an international technology cooperative demonstration base that settles down in Hefei city, serves Anhui province and radiates through the whole country. It is sustainable, reproducible and easily promoted.
The park will advance cooperation between China and Germany in intelligent manufacturing technology and its industrialization. Its intelligent manufacturing technology will be strengthened as a pillar of the park’s economic structure.
The park has five industrial clusters, namely new generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing equipment, energy saving and new energy equipment, biotechnology and high-end medical devices and emergency equipment manufacturing.
It also has two innovation platforms, the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Exchange and Education Cooperation Platform, and the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Incubator Platform.
In addition, it is home to a Sino-German intelligent manufacture industry innovation center.
In support of those facilities, it offers a comprehensive financial innovation service system.
