A total of 40,000 disposable surgical masks donated by overseas Chinese enterprise Hungary Ouqiao Industrial to the government of the 16th district of Budapest, Hungary, to support the country in its fight against COVID-19 arrived on April 3.
Printed on the boxes in both Hungarian and Chinese read the words "stay strong, Hungary, Let's win the fight against the virus!"
The enterprise also offered masks to more than 100 enterprises in the Ouqiao Technology Industrial Park it operates in the 16th district.
In addition, the enterprise distributed 10,000 disposable surgical masks to residents living near the industrial park, which was meant to strengthen the Sino-Hungarian friendship.
When the outbreak hit China, Hungarian enterprises purchased masks from Hungary and sent them to Hubei province, the hardest-hit area in China.
"The Hungarian government helped us when China was hit by the epidemic, so we want to help contain the spread of the epidemic in Hungary," said Zhan Xiaorong, president of Hungary Ouqiao Industrial.
Hungary Ouqiao Industrial is wholly-owned of Anhui Ouqiao Industrial in the Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Its Ouqiao Technology Industrial Park has contributed to local economic development and helped domestic enterprises operate there.
