The National Dashu Mountain Forest Park, located in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, covers more than 1,000 hectares with a forest coverage rate of nearly 95 percent.
The park was approved to be a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration in January 2013. Through years of development, the park has grown into a multifunctional tourist destination integrating sightseeing, traveling, recreation, scientific investigation, exploration and healthcare.
Dashu Mountain is 284 meters high, and was formed after the eruption of a volcano.
In 1989, a 4.7-ha cherry park was built on the east side of the mountain, with 3,500 cherry trees planted , including more than 300 presented by Japan's Kurume city.
With the arrival of spring, the warmer weather has attracted an increasing number of people who come to admire the beauty of the green land and flower blossoms in the park.
