The Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone recently unveiled a new plan to turn managers of fast-growing enterprises and promising sci-tech enterprises in the zone into "leading entrepreneurs".
Leading entrepreneurs are expected to strengthen the competitiveness of enterprises by improving their management and use their influence to inspire more young innovators and entrepreneurs to start businesses in the zone.
According to the plan, the zone will strive to nurture around 50 leading entrepreneurs every year, which will in turn foster 500 young influential entrepreneurs and attract 5,000 young innovators and entrepreneurs to the zone over the next five years.
The training program is mainly targeted at chairmen, general managers, and CEOs of enterprises above designated size, high-tech enterprises, and high-growth enterprises. It focuses on developing their leadership skills and strategic vision.
According to the plan, the zone's government will hold a series of forums on entrepreneurship development, release business environment reports, and invite renowned entrepreneurs locally and throughout the Yangtze River Delta region to share their stories.
Company managers will participate in a training camp to help them lead study tours to model enterprises at home and abroad to learn about marketing strategies, technological innovation, capital operations, and expanding into international markets.
Renowned entrepreneurs, experts, and scholars will be invited to participate in the training camp and offer advice and suggestions to company managers.
Managers can choose from a wide range of different online and offline classes based on their specific interests.
They are encouraged to improve their educational credentials and will be given coupons for online learning platforms.
Training sessions on policy interpretation will be held regularly as well.
In addition, the Association of Industry and Commerce, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs, and the Service Center for Innovators and Entrepreneurs will jointly hold salons and many other meetings for managers to share their experiences and exchange ideas.
The zone will organize overseas trips to renowned universities and enterprises to teach managers about international trade.
