Over 70 percent of enterprises located in the 21 office buildings in the Hefei National High-tech Industrial Development Zone have resumed operations as of Feb 5, according to the administrative committee of the zone.

With 12,828 employees now back to work at 1,281 enterprises, the zone, which has the most high-tech enterprises of any zone in Anhui province, is quickly honing in on the coveted 100 percent resumption rate.

Yang Hongjie, estate manager of a representative office building in the zone, said over 90 percent of the 181 enterprises in his building have resumed work.

To ensure the safety of employees, we prepared non-contact temperature checking devices and will continue to disinfect public areas twice per day, Yang said.

Liu Feng, director of the zone’s Changning Center, said epidemic prevention is given priority as more than 2,000 employees are attending work every day.

Government officials at the center are working to help enterprises check employees' health conditions at the entrance and solve difficulties in work resumption through hotlines.
