Chinese US-listed technology company Huami voiced support for China to the world amid the outbreak of novel coronavirus in New York's iconic Times Square.

The move was made after the company's decision to donate 10 million yuan ($1.43 million) in urgently-needed medical supplies from China and abroad to virus-hit areas.

According to statistics released by the company, as of Feb 9, Huami has spent 5.20 million yuan buying 140,900 masks, 12,957 protective suits, 27,375 bottles of disinfection fluid, 682,700 pairs of gloves, and 31,417 goggles, sending them to 30 frontline hospitals.

Huami CEO Huang Wang said management canceled the company's annual party this year to save money for the fight against the coronavirus outbreak in China.
