High-tech companies in the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone have joined the fight against the outbreak of the novel coronavirus with their advanced products.

Medical electronics supplier Anhui Ecrieepower Co Ltd, headquartered in the zone, on Jan 22 provided all its stock of intelligent power distribution units which were urgently needed for the production of medical equipment to be used in hospitals in the city of Wuhan, epicenter of the outbreak.

The company formed a production team on Jan 23 to work through the coming Spring Festival holiday to produce medical power supply equipment.

It delivered the equipment with the help of its partner companies to Huoshenshan Hospital, a makeshift hospital specializing in coronavirus treatment in Wuhan, on schedule on Jan 30.

Medical assistant robots developed by artificial intelligence company iFLYTEK, also headquartered in the zone, were widely used by medics to diagnose novel coronavirus cases. They can analyze a patient’s medical history with their medical knowledge database.

The robots have followed up 3.87 million people in 15 provinces and cities -- including Hefei, Hubei province, Zhejiang province and Beijing -- and have analyzed 2.42 million medical records since the outbreak.

The statistical results they came up with have been reported to the public epidemic prevention department.
