Hefei looks to build China Security Valley

The Hefei municipal government held the 2019 Hefei Cyber Security Conference on Oct 11 in an effort to boost the development of the city's cyber-security industry.
Qi Haiyang, vice director of the cyberspace administration of Anhui province, announced the administration's support for the construction of the China Security Valley – an industrial cluster of cyber-security enterprises – during the conference.
As the home of the China Security Valley, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone aims to attract more than 300 cyber-security enterprises and build a cyber-security industry worth 50 billion yuan ($7.09 billion) by 2020.
Song Daojun, director of the zone's administrative committee, discussed the progress the zone has made in developing the cyber-security industry. The zone has seen a growing number of enterprises, talents, and technological achievements in the field.
He thanked the provincial government and major cyber-security entrepreneurs in the zone for their contributions and vowed to optimize the zone's business environment for the China Security Valley.
A number of cyber-security projects involving technological research and application, as well as guarantee platforms, were signed at the conference.
Nearly 1,800 attendees, including government officials and enterprise representatives, discussed a variety of topics, including industrial internet security, digital financial security, and digital campus security, at several forums held during the conference.
