Intl apprentices try out iFlytek technology

A group of seven young entrepreneurs from different countries visited the headquarters of Chinese tech firm iFlytek in reality show Kung Fu Apprentice on Oct 10.
A display of the latest products developed by iFlytek showcased the application of intelligent speech and artificial intelligence technology in China to the international apprentices.
Launched by the Discovery Channel and Chinese streaming site Mango TV, the reality show reveals modern China from the perspective of foreigners.
The apprentices found themselves in awe of a virtual anchor with multi-language broadcasting and lifelike images. It combined speech synthesis, image processing and machine translation, an employee of the company said.
The apprentices also found iFlytek's translation machine to be extremely useful, as it can translate languages of more than 200 countries and regions quickly and accurately. The employee introduced its popularity in many international events.
When it came to the training portion in the reality show, Zhai Jibo, general manager of iFlytek's translation machine business, explained how the advanced products work with the help of modern technologies.
