Tianchi Chuang, a maker space committed to technological innovation and entrepreneurship in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, welcomed its second anniversary on Sept 19.

Over the past two years, the maker space has incubated 64 projects, including nine international projects, and has assisted 20 enterprises in receiving financial support of nearly 250 million yuan ($35 million) in total.

Tianchi Chuang's achievements are the result of an investment-driven and international cooperation strategy promoted by Hefei Gaoxin Development and Investment Group Company, Manitoba Technology Accelerator and RongDian Group.

During its celebration, the maker space invited 23 incubated enterprises to display their advanced products, looking to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.

With support from the zone, the maker space was established to meet the financial needs of emerging enterprises engaged in industries such as biomedicine, integrated circuits and intelligent manufacturing.

Since its inception, Tianchi Chuang has held a series of activities to connect enterprises and projects with investment institutions, which has greatly contributed to improving the innovation and entrepreneurship environment in the zone.
