Hikvision opens business center in Hefei hi-tech zone

Hikvision, a tech firm based in Hangzhou, opened a business center in Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone on Sept 2.

The company now has more than 16,000 R&D engineers working to develop core technologies in the areas of audio and video encoding, video image processing, cloud computing, and big data.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Xu, director of the new business center, said the center will recruit more talents in Anhui to promote the development and innovation of artificial intelligence technology.

Lyu Changfu, representative of the zone, said the business center will help facilitate the application of artificial intelligence and big data technology in various industries in Anhui province.

Hikvision has ranked first in the global video surveillance market for seven consecutive years and is expanding its businesses to industries such as smart home devices, industrial automation and automotive electronics.
