The opening ceremony and New Year party for a foreign expert's bookstore recently got underway at the Hefei International Talent City in East China's Anhui province. 

It was a practical move to set up a bookstore for foreign experts, which was conducted in view of the foreigners' reading preferences and aimed to continuously improve the local climate for them. 

With singing and dancing shows, games and lucky draws, the activity created a welcoming and easygoing atmosphere for foreign experts, some of whom were even looking forward to the bookstore regularly hosting reading and cultural exchange activities. 

An official from the local human resources and social security bureau expressed the hope that the bookstore would help the foreign experts to blend more easily into the local culture. He also pledged to "equip" the international talent city with more diversified, comprehensive and professional services. 

The activity was organized by the Anhui Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Hefei Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Hefei Municipal Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs, and the administrative committee of Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone.
