Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone are to jointly set up a financial research institute, as the two sides signed a cooperative agreement recently. 

The two sides will bring out their own advantages and seek new possibilities of ways in which higher education can benefit companies, industries, and moreover, the whole society. 

The agreement states that every year, the new institute will carry out at least one special investigation and survey, host at least one large-scale academic forum, and attract businesses and investment with the help of alumni resources of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. 

Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone will offer housing and financial support to the research teams, and companies that are introduced to the zone by the new institute will gain various rewards accordingly. 

The new institute will also spare no effort to turn scientific research achievements into tangible and profitable results, creating a new landscape of governments and learning institutions bonding closely and industry-university-research cooperation realizing win-win situations.
