The wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Leili Motor Co, a company with expertise in micro-motor product manufacturing, was put into operation at the Hefei High-tech Zone Huoqiu Modern Industrial Park on Nov 25.

The opening came only four months after the two sides agreed to invest 100 million yuan ($14.4 million) in the micro-motor and intelligent module-focused project this July.

The first listed company introduced into the park, Leili attributed the smooth running of its project to concerted efforts made by Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone and Huoqiu county government, the two parent bodies of the park.

It is estimated that, once reaching the target output, the project will have an annual yield of 30 million micro-motors, generating a yearly sales revenue of 330 million yuan and providing some 1,200 employment opportunities.

Meng Fannong, an official from the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, said the project would set a positive tone to the park's development, incubating emerging industries, boosting local employment, stimulating economic growth, and promoting regional development.

He also said the park has showed great potential in managing the project.

Jiangsu Leili Motor Co has extensive influence on micro-motor products. It cooperates with many outstanding customers around the world, such as Gree, LG, Midea, Whirlpool, Samsung and Panasonic.
