Inspired by the Ministry of Science and Technology this May, Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone in East China's Anhui province has been striving towards the international arena and attempting to become a world-leading industrial park.
Ten of the 168 national industrial parks in China have taken the honor so far. Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone, a local official said, is determined to achieve more globally-oriented development.
Driven by internationally-welcomed industries, the zone focuses on boosting the local economy with more tangible yields, while also attaching importance to strengthening local industries with greater international competitiveness.
Putting talent capacity at the forefront, the zone is endeavoring to become a hub of international professionals. Aside from offering various preferential policies, the zone also witnessed the Hefei International Talent City entering into operation this October.
The Canadian International School of Hefei, the first and only world school in Anhui province, also launched its second phase construction plan on Oct 21, a practical move following the zone's consistent emphasis on international education.
The school pursues academic excellence and educational philosophy in its Hefei campus and is committed to cultivating self-confident and self-reliant global citizens and leaders by offering a challenging internationally recognized Canadian education curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Program.
