The Hefei National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone announced on Nov 9 that it will begin construction on a security valley, with a number of enterprises already signed on to settle there in the near future.
The announcement was issued during the 2018 Hefei Internet Security Conference, which was hosted by New H3C Group, a digital service provider, and presented by the Hefei Municipal Bureau of Data Resources, the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone Administrative Committee, and Anhui Information Investment Holdings Co.
The announcement reflected the Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone's confidence and strength in various fields.
The zone has gathered over 150 internet security technology companies, accounting for over 80 percent of the city's total. The internet security industry already has a strong presence in the zone.
The zone is also a leader in quantum private communication, with applications rolling in from around the country.
A cluster of higher learning institutions imbue the zone with overwhelming scientific and technological strength and create an innovative and energetic environment.
Due primarily to intelligent voice technology, the artificial intelligence industry is emerging rapidly in the zone, with the smart chip, service robot, and intelligent hardware sectors also flourishing due to their distinctive features.
Furthermore, the zone's deep-rooted strength in traditional industries such as home appliances, automobiles, and integrated circuits can help their internet-based partners develop in a more intelligent direction.
