Under the guidance of the relevant national industry policies, such as Made in China 2025 and the development plan of robotics industry (2016-20), the robotics industry faces great opportunity. 

Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone seized the opportunity, inviting the CCID Consulting to work out the robotics industry development and investment attraction plans, and establishing an investment team. Backed by the leading robots enterprises in the zone, such as iFlytek, CSG and Sunwin, it developed and attracted a batch of key projects, including Kuka industry engineering application center, Idea Technologies, medical rehabilitation robot by Harbin Institute of Technology and Cowis Intelligence Technology.

The zone has gathered approximately 100 robotics enterprises, attracting about 50 projects now, achieving an annual output value of 5 billion yuan ($723.35 million). It preliminary formed a “Robotics Plus” industrial innovation ecosystem, with industrial robots as the main force, service robots as the advantage and special robots as the uniqueness. 

Hefei Robotics Industry Park is a new park founded by Hefei STIP Co., Ltd. Located in Hefei national High-Tech Industry Development Zone, it received a total investment of 2 billion yuan, with an area of 370 mu (24.67 hectares) and a construction area of 62.5 hectares. It consists of robots working area, incubation accelerating area and industry cluster area, including an Equipment Manufacturing Base, a headquarters office base and an industrial public service platform. The park has been one of the leading parks of its kind in Anhui province and China.
