Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone was listed as a national pilot zone for intellectual property service industry, being the first of its kind in Anhui province, according to the document by National Intellectual Property Administration on Oct 24.

Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone achieved numerous honors, including being named the National Intellectual Property Demonstration Zone.

It has clustered over 80 service agencies managing business related to intellectual property such as operation and rights protection, involving over 2,000 professionals.  

In the first nine months of this year, the development zone applied for 9,969 patents including 5,190 patents for invention. The number of authorized patents has reached 4,947, up 54.8 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The national pilot zone for intellectual property service industry expected to promote the mix among intellectual property service industries, technologies and economy.

A series of measures will be carried for the construction of the pilot zone such as building a service center based on internet technologies and luring more talents to offer strong support to the high-quality development of local economy.
