A policy briefing on industrial support policies opened in Hefei National High-tech Industry Development Zone Oct 30, attracting representatives from over 700 companies in the area.
Launched in 2014, the policy was designed to turn the area into a world first-class high-tech industrial park and boost economic development.
In the past four years, the industry development zone has attracted investment worth 2.82 billion yuan ($404 million), benefiting 7,868 companies and encouraging social capital of over 10 billion yuan.
As the economy continues to boom, adjustments have been made to the policy to better serve local companies.
The new version of the policy, highlighted industrial transformation and upgrading as the cores, attaching great importance to innovation development and luring innovative talents.
It also offered financial support for small and micro companies to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.
